JOB PURPOSE: Repairs all electrical faults or damaged electrical part of heavy equipment, buses, trucks, road sweepers, backhoe, loaders and other automotive trucks by performing the following duties.

DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES:

·          Inspects, diagnoses the cause of electrical malfunction or failure of the truck or equipment and discusses with the workshop electrical foreman the nature and extent of damage or malfunction to determine the repair needed.

·          Rewires ignition system, lights, and instrument panel. Replaces and adjusts headlights, and installs and repairs accessories such as heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers.

·          Carries out Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) as required for new vehicle.

·          Carries out preventive maintenance and service as per schedule.

·          Adheres to safety rules and procedures by applying safe working practices

·          Plans and records electrical testing and repairs or initiates modification or replacement of equipment, which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.

·          Re-inspects all completed repair works to ensure quality before handing over the equipment.

·          Secures the assigned powered, manual and diagnostic tools by adhering to the implemented control procedures.

·          Install air conditioning system

·          Overhaul air conditioning system

·          Contributes in the general housekeeping of the workshop and keeps his tools clean.

·          Carries out any task that may be assigned to him by the workshop electrical foreman inside the company’s workshop or outside at the customer site...

·          Post Secondary School Diploma in Automobile or Electro-Mechanical specialty.

Job Purpose: Visits clients to receive their inquires, discusses about price, features, delivery and payment terms & conditions. Prepare the quotation and follows up the customers and delivers the ordered parts to clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·          Receives customers’ inquiries and suggests replacement of non-available parts.

·          Discusses parts prices with customers and prepares quotations for clients’ purchases.

·          On receiving purchase order prepares drafts for part collection, arranges for delivery and prepares invoices.

·          Prepares order requests for unavailable parts to the suppliers.

·          Knowledgeable about the different types of air-conditioning of heavy machineries and equipment

JOB PURPOSE: Repairs all electrical faults or damaged electrical part of heavy equipment, buses, trucks, road sweepers, backhoe, loaders and other automotive trucks by performing the following duties.

DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES:

·          Inspects, diagnoses the cause of electrical malfunction or failure of the truck or equipment and discusses with the workshop electrical foreman the nature and extent of damage or malfunction to determine the repair needed.

·          Rewires ignition system, lights, and instrument panel. Replaces and adjusts headlights, and installs and repairs accessories such as heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers.

·          Carries out Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) as required for new vehicle.

·          Plans and records electrical testing and repairs or initiates modification or replacement of equipment, which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.

·          Secures the assigned powered, manual and diagnostic tools by adhering to the implemented control procedures.

The Auto Denter is responsible for the efficient repair of vehicles in the workshop and for maintaining the highest standards of repair quality following the manufacturers repair procedures.

 

·          Must know how to MIG, spot and oxy weld; will use a hammer & dolly flipper to press metal.

·          Must be experienced in smash work so that the panels line up & the doors close in alignment.

·          Must be able to fill using their hands & be able to use a hydraulic porta-power

·          Must be able to use hand tools and to use hydraulic systems competently

·          Ensures that a job card is issued with details of the repair work to be carried out.

·          Puts forward suggestions to the Workshop Supervisor in relation to (Work Quality , Work Performance, Special Tools, Denting Equipment )

·          Straightens damaged vehicles and parts using mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
